Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Wahala Wheels collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what the game needs to work. We do not sell your information, and the game has no third-party advertising or tracking.
What we collect
- Device ID and device secret: random codes the game makes the first time you play, kept in your device's secure storage. They let this device sign in to your account. We store the device secret only in scrambled (hashed) form.
- Player ID: the 20-digit number that identifies your racer.
- Racer name (IGN): the name you pick. Other players see it in online races and on leaderboards.
- Email address, only if you link one: used to send you 6-digit sign-in codes and to restore your racer on a new device. We do not send marketing emails.
- Gameplay information: races and results, times, coins, gems, cars and upgrades, progress, settings, and online room and ranking results.
- Purchases: if you buy gems, the order reference, package, amount and status. Card or bank details are handled by the payment provider; we never see or store them.
- Your agreement: when you ticked the Terms and age boxes, and the app version.
- Game usage (analytics): which screens you open, races you start, finish or quit, tutorial progress, vehicles you buy and notifications you open, together with your Player ID and an app instance ID. We use Google Analytics for Firebase for this, without the advertising identifier and not for advertising. It helps us see how the game is played and what to improve.
- Technical information: the device type (iOS, Android, desktop), the app version, and our server logs (IP address, time and type of request), used to keep the service running and safe. Logs are kept for a limited time.
Voice chat
If you switch your microphone on in an online room, your voice is sent live to the other players in that room. Voice is not recorded or stored by us.
How we use it
- To run the game: your account, progress, purchases, online races and leaderboards.
- To keep the game fair and safe: stopping cheating, abuse and fraud.
- To fix problems and improve the game.
- To answer you when you contact us.
Who we share it with
Only with the services that help us run the game (for example our server host, the email service that sends sign-in codes, the voice service for online rooms, Google (Firebase) for game analytics and Android notifications, and the payment provider for purchases), and only what they need to do that job. We may share information if the law requires it. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
Children
Wahala Wheels is made for players aged 7 and up. The sign-in screen asks each player to tick that they are at least 7 years old or have a parent or guardian's approval. That tick is a simple statement by the player: it is not a check of age and it is not a verified consent from a parent. We do not knowingly collect more information from children than the game needs to work. Linking an email address and voice chat are optional; a parent or guardian should decide about them for a young child. If you are a parent and want to see or delete your child's information, use Delete account in the game or contact us (below).
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your account information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time inside the game: Settings → About → Delete account. This deletes your racer name, linked email, devices, progress, cars, coins and gems, race results and leaderboard entries straight away, and signs out every device. We keep only records the law or fraud checks require (the coin and gem history and payment records), with no name or email attached. If you cannot open the game, email us from the email linked to your racer, or include your Player ID (Settings → About → Player ID), and we will delete it within 30 days. You can also ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it.
Security
We protect your information with secure storage on your device, hashed secrets and sign-in codes, and access controls on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your email account safe.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date, and tell you in the game when the change is important.
